These
beautifully hand-carved candles can be found in our newly remodeled
candle and gift shop, next to Sticks and Stones. This is an old German
art form that uses a combination of colors and hand carving with
potter's tools. The core of the candle is dipped in various colors of
hot wax, using a recipe, then the carver has only ten minutes to hand
carve the candle before the wax cools. Being the first in Hannibal to
bring this wonderful demonstration to you, we have everything from
replicas of the Hannibal Lighthouse to Angels, Wedding Candles, Holiday
candles, adorable animal candles, etc......need we go on?
The
candles burn using an oil jar in the center of the candle, so the
outside stays as beautiful as the day you bought it. (oil is not
included)
We
also have candle dipping for kids. Kids can choose from several styles
such as a heart, cat, mouse, wolf and elephant, then just dip and
decorate. Cost is $4.95 plus tax (Kids must be accompanied by
adult)
