Mark Twain Cave and Campground is Missouri's first Show Cave. The cave was first shown in 1886 and is a Registered Natural Landmark.
We are located approximately one mile south of Hannibal on Highway 79

When you visit us you will find a wealth of fun and interesting things to do!
We have ample parking and free picnic grounds.
We welcome school groups and tour buses.

Experienced guides will escort you on the 55 minute tour of Mark Twain Cave where the walkways are level and smooth and there are no steps.  Because of the natural state of our cave (narrow passages, etc.) it is not wheelchair accessible.
Our cave stays a constant 52 degrees year round! (A light jacket or sweater is recommended on the tours.)
Cameron Cave is a 1 hour and 20 minute tour and several people will carry lanterns as the cave is very nearly like it was first discovered in 1925.
Click here or on Tickets and Tours for more info.

Shopping is a delight in our Visitor's Center where we have a great selection   of gifts, books, souvenirs and collectibles.  Here you will also find our newly remodeled  Fudge Shop offering soft drinks, candy, popcorn, and of course our yummy homemade fudge!

Just a few steps away across the creek from the Visitor Center is Sticks and Stones and a sluice where kids of all ages can pan for semi-precious gemstones. Next to Sticks and Stones is Village Hollow Candles and Gifts featuring beautiful hand carved candles.  Watch as our talented artisans create exquisite candles right before your eyes!  Kids can even dip and decorate their own candles!

BIG NEWS! Our newly refurbished Cave Hollow Center is now available for parties, receptions, and business meetings!

Last, but certainly not least, we have a gorgeous campground for those of you visiting for more than a day.  Our campground sits in a quiet, shady, secluded valley.  We offer full hookups for RV's, laundry, restrooms and showers, a dump station, and a safe playground for kids. We also have a newly remodeled camp store on the premises providing limited groceries, camping supplies, ice,  firewood, and lots of goodies! For more campground info, click here.
