Our candles are each molded, dipped, carved, decorated, glazed and dried in our store at the Mark Twain Cave Complex. We have perfected the Old German art of hand-carving candles. These candles are exquisite and each one beautifully handcrafted.

There are endless possibilities with our candles. We have 3 sizes, 50 colors and 27 styles and counting. There are approximately 50 dips per candle, then while the candle is still warm the candle carver twists and turns the wax into beautiful pieces of art. You may watch our candle carvers perform the craft when you visit the cave and its surrounding facilities. Just ask. You are not obligated to buy.

Our carvers would be delighted to send one of our candles to you or wherever you desire. A glass insert comes with your candles, so that you can fill the jar with oil and not discolor your candle. If Tom and Becky had dipped more candles for their trip through the cave, it would not have been so disastrous when the bats knocked out their only candle. Tom and Becky were in the cave for 3 days and 2 nights before they found their way out. You have the opportunity to dip your own candle at the gift shop anytime you want.
