A Historic Hannibal Tradition Begins a New Chapter

A piece of Hannibal history is back—and Sawyer’s Creek is officially OPEN!

For generations, Sawyer’s Creek has been a place for families to make memories. Now, under the ownership of the Mark Twain Cave family, this historic property is beginning an exciting new chapter.

The story goes even deeper.

Sawyer’s Creek Fun Park opened in 1989 on the historic grounds of the Cameron family dairy farm. In 1923, the Cameron family purchased Mark Twain Cave and became an important part of its history, operating the Cave for nearly a century before selling it to the Curry family in 2020.

In 2023, Todd and Austin Curry brought Sawyer’s Creek back into the Mark Twain Cave family with a vision to breathe new life into the property while honoring the history and memories that came before.

Now, that vision is becoming a reality.
